This course is for certified divers who have an interest in moving forward with overhead environment diving, as well as expanding their diving techniques, capabilities, and more! In this course, we will develop the minimum skills and knowledge for cavern and overhead environment diving within the limits of light penetration, and insure that divers are aware of self-responsibility and capable of risk management in overhead environments. The objective of this course is to train divers in the proper planning, procedures, techniques and hazards of cavern diving.

  • Minimum age 18, 15 with parental consent

Description

The Open Water course is a diving certification program that teaches students the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and autonomously dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters. During the course, students learn about diving equipment, dive planning and execution, underwater communication, and rescue techniques. The course consists of theoretical sessions, practice in the pool or shallow waters, and four open water dives supervised by a diving instructor.
